Identified sherbet patterns

With the help of other members of the ChatAboutDG forum, I’ve managed to identify two more pieces of elegant glass. Thanks!

Cubist Sherbets by Jeannette Glassware Company

We took a drive out to the Aberfoyle Antique Market on the weekend. I was starting to get faint from the 35 degree heatwave we’ve been experiencing lately, until I stumbled upon two sherbets tucked away on a vendor’s shelf. I purchased these two Cubist sherbets, manufactured by the Jeannette Glassware Company circa 1929-1933, for only $4.00 each! I’ve seen these on eBay for $8.00 US per sherbet. The pattern is also called “Cube”.

Here’s the link to the photoset on Flickr:

Etched Sherbet

This sherbet has a lovely etched pattern on the outside. Alas, another one of my unidentified beauties!

Green Sherbet

I have a funny feeling that this recent purchase is a fake. I purchased it at the 400 Market on the weekend and the seller was unable to identify the pattern. Oh well! It looks lovely next to my other sherbets!
